Meet Our Team

  • Jane Virga

    FOUNDER

Jane is an artist whose medium has evolved from sculpting clay to cultivating space. After years of making visual art and designing large-scale environments in New York, she found that pilates gave her a new language for creativity, one rooted in movement, alignment, and human form. For Jane, the studio itself is an artistic expression: a space where people can come together to feel supported and discover new ways of inhabiting their bodies.

As the founder of Tandem Pilates and mother of three, Jane brings both playfulness and depth to her teaching. She loves helping people connect to their own inner strength and balance, and believes Pilates can be both a joyful practice and a journey of self-discovery. Her vision for Tandem is simple: to create a welcoming, creative community where everyone can move, breathe, and find themselves together.

In just a few weeks of Pilates, Shannon was able to heal what 6 months of traditional therapy couldn’t and she learned to trust her body and intuition again. “I love helping people reach their goals and witnessing those aha! moments when they realize something life-changing about themselves and their bodies for the first time”
